Bob Guerrero, President of the UU Fellowship in Bicutan visits Singapore

Today is a special gathering for us. We welcome a special UU visitor from Philippines, Bob Guerrero. Four other UUs are present in the meeting: Ben, Chan, George and me.

It is heartening to know that there are other UU presences in Asia. The gathering is casual and light-hearted and it is very kind of Bob to share with us his experiences in the UU congregation in Manila, Philippines as well as resources such as articles and pod casts. We are very glad to have Bob with us and we look forward to more such international visits!

UU visits the Shuang Lin Monastery, oldest Buddhist Monastery in Singapore

This tour is organized as part of UU Singapore's program to create awareness and understanding of different belief systems.

42.5% of Singapore population are Buddhist. A visit to a Buddhist monastery allows us to understand the ways in which Buddhism unfolds in modern Singapore.

Being the oldest Buddhist monastery in Singapore and a National Monument, the visit was also an excellent opportunity for photo taking.

The tour was attended by UU members, their friends and family members. See tour pictures

UU Tours

UU Singapore is organizing a monastery tour and its free!

UU tours are an excellent way for members to get to know each other and to understand and learn about other belief systems. Please see activities for details.
